Shelton Kelly

Shelton Kelly, b. 1996 in San Francisco,​ is a painter and sculptor living and working in New York City.

Shelton spent her childhood between the San Francisco bay area and a log cabin in the Sierra Nevadas. Her early experiences in the region's untamed backcountry fostered her lifelong appreciation and respect for nature. Geology, evolution, and the effects of the passage of time on the natural world remain important influences in her work today. 

Shelton has been drawing and painting throughout her life. In 2024, she transitioned from a career in financial services to pursue art full time. She is currently undergoing a classical training in drawing, painting, and sculpture at the Grand Central Atelier in New York.
